THE PETE DYE RIVER COURSE
The unmistakable elements of a Pete Dye design and Virginia Tech’s commitment to excellence and tradition are immediately apparent from the moment you arrive at “The River” in Radford, Virginia. With a clubhouse that rests on a rock cliff 70 feet above the historic and pristine New River, visitors are blown away with the best views. The River Course is an 18-hole, 7,685 yard, par 72 course with a 99% recommended, 4.9-star course.
“This place has all the ambience and qualities that make a golf course really good. Here you’ve got the sound of the river up and down the whole golf course, the entire time… the river and scenery are unbelievable.”” — Pete Dye
THE BLACKSBURG COUNTRY CLUB COURSE
Blacksburg’s championship 18-hole golf course was designed by Ferdinand Garbin, former president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. Four sets of tees on each hole provide golfing fun for all skill levels. From the blue tees, the course offers a challenge to any golfer featuring 6,800 yards of fairways that are guarded by more than 60 manicured sand traps. The greens are manicured and among the finest found in southwest Virginia. The North Fork of the Roanoke River meanders through the course and the mountains serve as a beautiful backdrop for your round.
